My sweet, sweet four year old Asher! Last night as he was going to bed at 7:00, he was frustrated that Abiel and Judah got to stay up and read for an hour. "WHY do THEY get to stay up and read?"
"Because they are 7 and 10 and you are 4!"
After some moments of squirming, he asks me, "Is Papa almost 100?"
Without trying to laugh too much, I answer, "Not quite!"
I was reminded of being a child and how it seemed like time took FOREVER and that adults were REALLY old! That's just a couple perspectives that drastically change as you get older. I'm still reeling from the fact that it's already September in the year 2009! I'm SURE time has sped up.
I'm just so glad that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. With him a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years is like a day. And with every day that passes, we are one day closer to being at home with Jesus! I have great anticipation of being with Him FOREVER. Today the Spirit and the Bride say, "Come, Lord Jesus, Come!" . . . . then I won't have to worry about whether or not I can keep up this hectic homeschool schedule!! :-)
