Through the eyes of children

Today we were doing some last minute shopping, me and ALL the kids. It was relatively peaceful, minus the cart that tipped over in the grocery store spilling a screaming Asher all over the floor and the picture frame that was accidentally dropped with the glass shattering to pieces. Really, this is why I shop at 10 PM BY MY SELF! With those things behind us, we headed to Costco.

Asher never ceases to break the tension for me in his truly innocent, funny way! We were on the look out for the Hams. As we rounded the corner of an aisle, Asher yells, "WOW! Look at all those giant strawberries!" We had found the hams, nicely wrapped in brilliant, shiny red paper. I laughed out loud, along with all my fellow shoppers within hearing distance.

I was then reminded of Thanksgiving Day when Ella saw the raw turkey in the sink and yelled, "RHINO!" I suppose it could look like a rhino if you're two! And after it was cooked she declared that we were going to "Eat the Crocodile?!"

Sometimes it is refreshing to see through the eyes of children. It makes everything seem a little more fun and the tension melt away.
