My Song of the Year

Yesterday I turned 34. I had a beautiful 10-10-10 birthday! Had a fun birthday call at 10:10 on 10-10-10 from some friends, met with a girl I'm discipling in the morning, had a couple of peaceful hours at the park journaling my 33rd year while 2 hummingbirds zipped around me, came home to enjoy the rest of the day with my precious family, put them to bed and finished the day by watching my favorite movie, "EverAfter" with my Prince Charming. It was a perfect day. Thank you to all who sent birthday wishes! You make my life more full and rich.

This has been my favorite worship song for several weeks. As I listened to it yesterday, I decided it would be the theme song of my next year. I don't know what the year will hold, but this song details what I desire to do come struggle or joys. It's called "Love Came Down (If My Heart is Overwhelmed)" by Brian and Jenn Johnson on the album "Love Came Down."

If my heart is overwhelmed
And I cannot hear your voice
I'll hold on to what is true
Though I cannot see
If the storms of life they come
And the road ahead gets steep
I will lift these hands in faith
I will believe

I remind myself of all that You've done
And the Life I have because of Your Son

Love came down and rescued me
Love came down and set me free
I am Yours, I am forever Yours
Mountain high or valley low
I sing out remind my soul
I am Yours, I am forever Yours

When my heart is filled with hope
And every promise comes my way
When I feel Your hands of grace
Rest upon me
Staying desperate for You God
Staying humbled at Your feet
I will lift these hands and praise
I will believe

I am Yours I am Yours
All my days, Jesus, I am Yours
