Today in the car, the kids and I were talking about our favorite words in the English language. Right now, one of my favorite words to say is "pocket." I just like how it sounds! The kids threw out some of their favorite words and then someone said the word, "luscious." Here's where the fun began.
Judah: "Oooh, when I say the word 'luscious' I can taste a juicy, ripe plum."
(Judah added a few more excellent descriptions of this word and how it makes him feel, along with all of us in the car repeating the word 'luscious' several times a second to see how it made us feel.)
Asher a few seconds after Judah: "Luscious doesn't make me taste anything!" (You might need to know that Asher is my food lover. He would eat all day long if I let him, simply for the love of eating! I think he was genuinely distressed that he couldn't taste something simply by saying a word!)
Ella, a few seconds after Asher (luscious still echoing in the background from the other sound testers): "Flushes. When I say the word 'flushes,' it all goes away!"
Enter: Peals of laughter from the three of us who could understand the mix up and then a very upset Ella that we were laughing at her.
Explanation? "We weren't laughing at you, dear. We were just laughing because what you said was exactly right!"

HA!!! I love it! So cute. That Ella is a genius! You gave me a good idea of conversation in the car too, thanks!
Sooo cute! It's those moments that we cherish with our families and that make life even more precious! Love it!
