My conscience

As I've written a few times, we are working on verses that talk about being in control of our anger. The favorite has been James 1:19, "Be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry."
Tuesday was a hard day. I was thrown off schedule and couldn't pick up the pieces! By 3:30, I was a ranting, raving idiot trying to get the kids to finish stuff up so we could be out the door by 4:00 to ballet class. Poor Abiel got the wrath of Mom!
Asher, the one most sensitive to my obnoxious yelling, quietly pointed to the yellow paper on the bulletin board and sheepishly said, "Mom, you're not being swoe to speak and swoe to become angry."
Hmmmm, you're right!
Later I found out that it was the first thing he matter-of-factly recounted about the day to Heath! "It was a good day but mom wasn't swoe to speak and swoe to become angry!"
Who needs a conscience with a four year old around!
